BLACKMAIL II - CHAPTER 2

Did you miss BlackMail II - Chapter 1 ? REACTIONS              Cathy felt numb as she sat at the doorstep leading to their backyard garden. It had been five years! Five years of trying to put those horrid final moments behind her. Five years of doing her best to patch her relationship with her husband, Zach. And that was also difficult: I mean, how do you repair a relationship with a man on whom you cheated for over six months?             Zach appeared to be taking things in his stride. He had never once mentioned anything relating to her infidelity five years ago. That also added to her guilt. She couldn’t live with herself. Every night, she saw Dale – a very fiery and angry Dale. He came to her, calling her name in the softest of tones imaginable, inviting her for one more tryst. Every night, she drifted towards him, and every time, he set her ablaze with his touch...

He let out a puff of air, re-placed his gun and turned the bedside lamp on. He sat heavily and watched his wife thrash in the bed for some time. He contemplated rousing her from her nightmare but thought otherwise; the last time it had happened, he had received a hefty punch on his cheek. The area was still sore.             Zach called upon his military skills and went for his wife’s hands first. Fortun...

FOR WHAT WAS NOT

Google image Melissa stared at the image in her inbox. It was a wedding invitation: of David and a woman named Catherine. She was not surprised that he was getting married; far from that. She was, however, surprised that she felt hurt and betrayed. She could feel her heart ripping apart the longer she stared at the invitation card. She laughed mirthlessly at her own reaction: how could she feel betrayed? David was a flesh-and-blood man, she knew that. He had needs that must be met. What did she expect, that he would pine for her till the end of the world? Ha! Melissa tried to fathom why it hurt her to see that David had found someone else. It had been five years since they ended their relationship, or better, since she had called things off with him. She had even gone ahead to get married and have two healthy children with Morris. It was funny that she felt hurt and betrayed. Or, could it be that she had not gotten over David completely? Melissa shook her head at that thought...

PASTOR WALSH'S STRATEGY - FINAL STRIKE

STRIKE THREE - ALL THAT GLITTERS ... This is the final part of Pastor Walsh's Strategy. In the previous episode, Kofi Adu had succeeded in deceiving his church members and head pastor that he had truly repented. But, as greed dictated, he had to set up his own church and get all the tithe and offerings for himself. Let's see how it ended for Kofi Adu.  A year passed. Two years passed. The third year also drew to a close but the money just did not come. In fact, to Pastor Walsh’s alarm, both the finances of the church and the size of the congregation which had grown to a few hundred dwindled progressively. He did not know what to do. He was desperate. His enemies would laugh at him! He wondered why God had forsaken him. Day by day, running the church grew more and more difficult. At a point he was tempted to call it quits just like he had called other ventures quits but something stopped him. Maybe it was his pride. Maybe it was fear of what his former senior pastor a...

PASTOR WALSH'S STRATEGY 2

STRIKE TWO - IN THE MAKING OF A PASTOR Pastor Walsh's Strategy continues here. In the previous episode, Kofi Adu had been struggling to make ends meet: he had done odd jobs to earn a living but none satisfied him. As he thought about ways to get money, a thought occurred to him. Read on... “Kofi, why don’t you become a pastor?” the thought popped up in his head. Yeah, that was a great idea! He would become a pastor.   He could do that job with distinction. After all, all that one needed to be a good pastor was to possess the gift of gab. Kofi had a smooth tongue. He was a great talker. Why? The Pastor of the church he went to last Sunday was no match for him Kofi when it comes to “Yobbing”. And the money was good! Nobody could convince him that the Pastor did not get a good chunk of the weekly offertory. Apart from this was the tithe and special offering. Why? Look at the make of car Pastor Asiedu drove. He would become a pastor too. He set about planning how to make go...

PASTOR WALSH'S STRATEGY 1

STRIKE ONE - HUSTLE HARD. In the beginning, he was not Pastor Walsh. He was just Kofi Adu, plain and simple. He was a hustler and had tried to make it in life in all kinds of ways, mostly illegal. For instance, Kofi Adu had tried selling the weed for some time and nearly got caught by the law. He tried illegal mining and narrowly escaped death when he was almost covered by the pit in which he and his accomplices were digging for gold. Kofi afterwards had a stint as an armed robber. He went on just one operation and after a hot chase by the Police and another narrow shave, he quit. The work was too dangerous. Besides, he, Kofi Adu, was meant for finer things and for a more dignified life. For some time, he did not know what to do with himself. Some friends suggested he should try his hands at trading. He could start with a small table-top operation or dog chains, chewing gum and even sachets of water. Kofi would have none of that. What did they think of him? Such work was wa...

THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE SHEETS

Love-making is wonderful! It is one of the most amazing experiences in life. People make love (or as we love to say bluntly, have s*x) for many reasons: to consummate their relationship, to make babies, or just for the fun of it. Love-making is seen as a sacred act in our society. It is believed to have spiritual implications hence it is not to be taken for granted. In the typical Ghanaian society, a youth is not expected to have any form of sexual relations until they are married. Those who are caught flaunting this are often shunned and labeled as social misfits. The major reason for the preaching of abstinence from s*x until marriage is to prevent wrong mixing of souls: it is widely believed that soul/spiritual ties are formed when a couple have s*x, and these ties go a long way to affect our lives and destinies. But, what if there is a chemical reason for that soul-tie feeling? One important organ involved in sexual intercourse is the brain. The brain sends and receives s...
